At Little Prints and Princesses your privacy is very important to us.  

This privacy policy sets out how Little Prints and Princesses uses and protects the information that you give us.

 

What information we collect

We collect information in a few different ways:

For the use of our services (“service data”) we may collect and process the following information:

• Contact information including; name, billing address, delivery address, telephone number and e-mail address

• Keepsake personalisation i.e. handprint / fingerprint / names /dates

• Other information relevant to an order

When you place an order online or face-to-face, we use PayPal as our third party payment services provider, who collect your financial data. This financial information is not stored by us and is managed by the third party provider, their privacy policy can be viewed at www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-prev

When you sign up for our mailing list or take part in a give away or competition you give us certain information voluntarily i.e. name / e-mail address.  We may periodically send promotional emails to our previous customers and opted into mailing list, regarding new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting.  You may choose to stop receiving e-mails at any time using the unsubscribe option at the bottom of each e-mail.

For communication with you we may use e-mail (Microsoft Outlook or gmail), Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Instagram Messenger, which are situated out with the European Economic Area (EEA) The European Commission has made an “adequacy decision” with respect to the transfer of data out with the EEA. Transfers to out with the EEA will be protected by appropriate safeguards, namely the EU-US Privacy Shield.

Whenever you visit our website, certain information is created and logged automatically. For example:

Log data. This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.  In addition, our website uses Google Analytics, their privacy policy can be viewed here

Cookies. A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic and allows web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.  You can choose to accept or decline cookies.

 

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to make and deliver your order and to provide you with a better service. 

We also use this data to make decisions to improve our products and services and send you promotional offers based on what we think you will like or have bought. We have a legitimate interest to maintain our relationship with you, and protect your data.

We take photographs of all jewellery items we make, however, we will only use photographs for marketing purposes on our website and social media if you have provided specific consent for the photographs to be used.

The original paper copies of handprints / footprints / ink fingerprints captured in the jewellery will be returned at the same time as delivery of your finished piece.  As part of the design process, we create electronic copies of each handprint /footprint / ink fingerprint. All physical prints and personal information relating to the order are securely kept in locked storage.  Back up of electronic copies are also securely kept in locked storage.

For the purposes of completing accounting requirement we use Quickbooks, their Data Processor Agreement can be viewed at www.quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/data-processing-agreement/

For delivery of your jewellery we use Royal Mail, their privacy policy can be viewed at www.royalmail.com/privacy-notice.  For local orders we may personally deliver the order.

 

How long will we keep the information we gather

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.  

 

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We have put in place reasonable and appropriate physical and electronic safeguards in order to protect against unauthorised access or disclosure.

 

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Controlling your personal information

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect. You can request to access the information we hold about you.  We will aim to share this with you within 30 days of you asking us for it. 

 

Changes to Privacy Policy

Little Prints and Princesse may change this policy from time to time by updating this page.  This policy is effective from August 2020.
